Video to text and subtitles in any language
Upload a video or paste a YouTube link. AI transcribes the speech by speaker with timestamps, translates it into any of 43 languages and gives you SRT subtitles for the original and the translation.
Transcript and SRT subtitles in two languages.
See what you get
An interview with two speakers: transcript by line, on-screen subtitles and an SRT file. Play the video and switch the language.
Switch the language: both the voice-over and the subtitles change.
Original: Rick Turoczy, «Startup Founder Stories: Aaron Ward», CC BY. Translation: Speeek.
AI heard the name as “Bill Gadara” — we fixed it in the editor. Any line can be edited the same way.
How to get the text and subtitles
Nothing to install: it all runs in your browser.
Upload a video
A file from your computer or a YouTube link. Choose the video language and the translation language.
Check the text
In a few minutes the transcript and translation are in the editor. Fix names, terms and numbers.
Download
From your dashboard or the editor, “Download” menu: subtitles for the original and the translation, video and audio.
What people do with the text and subtitles
So the video reaches people who don’t speak the language or watch with the sound off, and the text from the video gets put to work.
Courses and lectures
A lecture transcript for notes, and subtitles in Spanish or another language for international students.
YouTube, Vimeo, LinkedIn
Upload the SRT as captions and the translation as a second caption track: viewers from other countries find and watch the video.
Interviews and podcasts
Lines are split by speaker and every line has a timestamp: easy to find a quote for an article or a post.
Need more than subtitles? Dub it
The same translation can be voiced in the speaker’s own voice: the video speaks another language, music and background stay. Try Russian or Spanish in the example.
FAQ
Is it free?
The first minute of every video is free, no card needed: see the transcript and translation in the editor. Downloading subtitles and the full video requires a subscription: Start from $5 for 5 minutes, Pro from $15 for 10 minutes.
Which formats can I download?
SRT subtitles in the original language and in the translation language, the translated video as MP4, audio as MP3 or WAV, and a separate audio track for YouTube.
Can I transcribe a YouTube video by link?
Yes: switch to the “YouTube link” tab and paste a link to a video or Shorts. No need to download anything. Private and 18+ videos won’t work.
How accurate is the transcription?
Clear speech is recognized well, but names, terms and numbers are worth checking. In the editor the original and the translation sit side by side, and you can fix any line before downloading.
Does it tell speakers apart?
Yes, up to 5 speakers per video: lines are labeled by speaker, and every line has a start and end time.
How long can the video be?
Up to 30 minutes on Start, 60 on Pro, 90 on Business. MP4, MOV, MP3 or WAV file up to 500 MB.
