No. For translating a 10-minute video you pay 10 minutes once. If you then fix mistakes in the editor, the 10 minutes are not charged again.
How edits are counted #
Edits are counted separately and only for the text that is voiced again: 1 minute per 2,000 characters. Until 2,000 characters of edits have accumulated, re-voicing is free. Fixing a few phrases usually costs nothing.
Always free:
- changing track volumes and timestamps;
- deleting phrases;
- reassigning a phrase to another speaker;
- the first dubbing after "Check the text first, then dub": it was paid at launch.
The remainder of characters carries over between re-voicings: three edits of 500 characters charge nothing, the fourth completes the minute.
When minutes are noticeably spent #
If you change a speaker's voice, all of their phrases are voiced again, and all of that text counts by the same rule. In a 10-minute video that is 1–2 minutes per speaker.
The editor shows the charge in the window before re-voicing starts. If it says 0, re-voicing is free.
Example #
A 10-minute video, the translation cost 10 minutes. You fixed 12 phrases, 1,400 characters in total: re-voicing is free, the 1,400-character remainder is remembered. Then you changed the voice of a speaker with 3,000 characters of speech: 1,400 + 3,000 = 4,400 characters, 2 minutes are charged, a 400-character remainder carries over.
